The role
Due to changes in the team, including internal promotion, it means that we are looking for 2 new policy managers to join our policy evidence and influencing team to drive forward critical areas of our work and deliver change for people affected by breast cancer.
Role 1 will manage our work on risk reduction and early diagnosis. This will build on our recent work on the Faster Diagnosis Standard and breast screening and lead new work on reducing the risk of developing breast cancer. This role will manage a senior policy officer.
Role 2 will manage our work on treatment. This includes our hugely successful work ensuring access to life-changing drugs for breast cancer patients, improving access to breast reconstruction surgery and new work on clinical trials. This role will manage a senior policy officer and a policy officer.
In both roles you’ll use insight from patients and healthcare professionals, data and research to develop policy positions and build strong relationships with external stakeholders that enable you to influence to deliver these. You’ll work with colleagues across the team and organisation to take our priorities to supporters, their MPs and the media.
About you
With experience of working in relevant policy roles to deliver significant change, you’ll be an excellent communicator, well-organised and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines. You’ll be confident working with a wide range of people and have experience of managing people.
